In Sicily, the most significative tradition is the Easter week. Especially in Enna, during the annual “Venerdi Santo” celebration, fifteen religious confederations -each one dressed in their beautiful characteristic colours- solemnly file through the city streets capturing the touching and suggestive representation of the “Passion of Jesus Christ”. Surely, it is considered one of the most important and beautiful religious celebrations not only in Sicily but also in Europe. Thousands of tourists participate at this moment in the religious life of Enna and Sicily.
