The Laboratory of Energy and Environment (L.E.A.) has, among its main objectives, the commitment to be a valid tool for daily teaching, research and consulting activities towards third parties (public and private subjects) in the field of problems/opportunities concerning territorial energy planning, consumption rationalisation and energy efficiency in the various energy production and management systems.

Today, this approach requires wide-ranging and diversified knowledge from operators in the sector: from historical research to direct knowledge of the assets, from the application of scientific technologies for analysis and advanced modelling and management methodologies to diagnostics, structural and energy models, and from evaluation and management issues to anthropological and social ones.

The Laboratory of Geotechnics and Soil Dynamics is a laboratory of excellence in Italy, equipped with all the standard testing facilities for the physical and mechanical characterisation of soils and rocks, as well as sophisticated equipment for performing tests under cyclic and dynamic loading conditions, which are essential for characterising the mechanical response of soils under seismic conditions.

The Laboratory of Surveying and Representation operates as a research facility in Drawing and Surveying, also offering support to the teaching activities of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture through courses, theses and internships.

One of the main objectives of the Roads, Railways and Airports Laboratory is to provide third parties with opinions on the suitability or otherwise of materials to be used in the construction of civil engineering and transport infrastructure.

The CENs Laboratory provides tools to support research, design, configuration and management of information processing systems in the field of artificial intelligence.

The Speech Technology and Machine Learning Laboratory of the Kore University of Enna (UKE) deal with several research topics, e.g. Speech Processing, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Predictive Maintenance based on IoT-AI and Fault Detection, AI for Health and Industry.
